Most of Metro's freestanding systems have been awarded Indoor Advantage™ certification from Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), an independent, third party environmental certifier. The Indoor Advantage certification program confirms adherence to specific indoor air quality emission requirements. Indoor Advantage demonstrates that a product conforms to the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA) and U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria. In addition to BIFMA and LEED, Indoor Advantage Gold also demonstrates conformance to California 01350 and CHPS (Collaboration for High Performance Schools) criteria. Indoor Advantage offers two different certifications—Indoor Advantage and Indoor Advantage Gold.
