future forests™ – as of this spring, Metro has planted 35,700 trees which yield 16,410,000 sq ft veneer and 3,127,000 bd ft lumber. In addition to renewing resources, trees positively impact the environment by reducing greenhouse emissions through the absorption of carbon dioxide and the return of oxygen to the air – improving air quality.
